The quality is very consistent, creating a set of temple blocks that is truly a benchmark of craftsmanship.

Grover Temple Blocks with Stand

Comments:

Excellent set of temple blocks for use with my high school percussion ensemble. I was using granite blocks, however, wanted a "true" sound and this set fits the bill!

Great value

Comments:

The set has great value. The only negative, is the top block sounds a little dead compared to the others. This isn't a problem for our group.

Best Temple Blocks available, with dedicated stand

Comments:

I did a lot of comparisons before settling yet again on my favourite orchestral percussion brand for this temple block set. A great collection of five useful tones using traditional birch wood, which to my ears has the best resonant properties. It's a "boring" wood and looks "unfinished", but the fancier woods and/or finishes diminish the focus of the attack and pitch, and the harmonic richness, and tend to be too reverberant. Make sure to have a 3/16" hex key (Allen wrench) handy for tightening each block to the bar, as they can arrive a bit loose. I tried the metric equivalent and it wasn't quite as tight of a fit so I think these are using English units. The stand is a nice dedicated design with a great attachment for the bar. This dramatically improves the ergonomics of playing this set. Now I just need to find the new set of three bass pitches that Grover added this year, and see if they readily attach to the same stand.

Good tone. Nice resonance. Small blemishes in actual wood grain. Well made. Very sturdy stand!
