Beautiful, Warm Sound

Comments:

My student glockenspiel went from sounding shrill and loud (with me needing noise reduction headphones to practice), to being warm and lovely. My teacher loves them too. He thinks they are wonderful. What a difference! It's a whole, new instrument. The mallets arrived quickly and in perfect shape. I highly recommend the product and Steve Weiss Music.

James Ross Soft Mallets

Comments:

These mallets are perfect for practicing on xylophones and even practice marimbas. The weight of the head is very comfortable; not too heavy like most large soft mallets. I find these mallets especially useful for playing glockenspiel in studio recording environments. The weight and size of the head gives the glockenspiel a nice round and full tone quality that resonates wonderfully. These mallets are also useful for soft wood block playing and temple blocks. They are a very versatile pair of mallets.

Love these mallets

Comments:

Great for those choppy marimba solos (tambourin chinois, prisim, tempest, etc). I've never actually found a great use for them in performance on bells or xylo, but they are my go-to mallet for densely rhythmic marimba pieces. Wonderful for practicing xylo when you don't want to wear earplugs!

Fantastic!

Comments:

These sound great for softer xylophone parts. They aren't as loud as some harder mallets, but they're great if you want a softer sound.

Great!

Comments:

I love these mallets! They are extremely versatile. They are great for bells, lower ranges of xylophones, woodblocks, and even the upper range of marimbas! They are light, durable, and the thicker rattan handles make for great control. I certainly recommend these mallets.
