Black Mapex Quantum Marching Snare Drum - 14x12 (Special Edition)

This limited production of the Quantum Marching Snare Drums are a mixed design between Quantum I and Quantum II. They feature the Quantum II shell and badge on the player's side, but still feature the original throw off system.

The Mapex Quantum Marching Snare Drums have the ability to deliver a wide range of sound based off the needs of the ensemble. The combination of the hybrid shell material along with the unique snare mechanism allows for an easy solution of sound that takes your show to the next level. Mapex has kept the weight of this snare to 14.55 lbs allowing for fluid easy movement of the player during the show.

The hybrid Shell features a 6-ply design, 2-ply of birch sandwiched between 4-ply of maple. The maple delivers the tone and projection while the birch controls the sound for precise articulation. The top of the shell features an aluminum top edge ring accommodating any level of head tension while a birch reinforcement ring on the bottom features a 45 degree bearing edge.
